Hiya my name is Sam! I’m at Emmanuel Church and I am a second-year student studying Automotive Engineering here in Loughborough. I will be serving the CU through my role on committee as Prayer and Equip Coordinator.

Prayer is something that really excites me and is essential for us as God’s people. In Acts 1, before the Apostles went out to evangelise on their sent mission, we are told that they, ‘with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer.’ I will be responsible for organising prayer meetings and would love to see our prayer lives flourish and become the boiler room of CU before we go
out and do our mission on campus.

The other part of my role is organising our equip groups. These are small groups where we open God’s word together, pray, spend time in fellowship and go out from to evangelise on campus. Equip is the heart of our CU and God has built me up so much through it.
